5700 Series Mats are black carbon-loaded conductive anti-fatigue mats with foam cushioning ideal for grounding personnel standing at workstations. (1) 10mm Stud Snap is pre-installed on the corner of the mat so that a Mat Ground can be attached to it. Sold as 2′ x 3′ and 3′ x 5′ sizes.

Connecting Ground to Mat

The 15 foot grounding cable for the Mat Ground is static dissipative on the outside, and contains a 1 meg ohm resistor built into it on the inside to ensure static is transferred through the cable at a static dissipative rate.

Mat Grounds are Static Dissipative

To ground the Mat Ground connect it to an electrical outlet or conductive material with access to ground underneath your building.

Electrical outlets typically are the best ground in any building because they follow the piping to ground underneath the building.

To connect the Mat Ground to an electrical outlet screw the #10 Ring Terminal on the end of the cable into an electrical outlet. (The #10 Ring Terminal fits a standard US electrical outlet).

It’s recommended you have grounding attached for every 5 feet of mat.

Mats should not be “daisy-chained” together. Instead, directly connect the Mat Ground to the electrical outlet, not to another Mat Ground on another mat.
